Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence welcomed a baby boy in February 2022 with her husband Cooke Maroney. When speaking of their son, Cy, she said:
“The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over… Like, ‘Now is day one of my life.‘ I just stared. I was just so in love.”
The actress, 32, has said that her child’s privacy was something she hoped to protect as much as possible.
9 Sam Hunt
Country singer Sam Hunt announced at a June 2022 show that he’d recently become a dad. He spoke of how fatherhood had changed him and the gratitude he felt, expressing that any hardening of his heart he’d experienced in his career had “completely melted away” since her arrival. The musician, 37, welcomed his first child with his wife Hannah Lee Fowler in May. They named their baby girl Lucy Lu.
8 Rihanna
Pop star Rihanna announced that she was pregnant in January 2022 before giving birth to a baby boy in Los Angeles on May 13. This is the first child for the singer, 34, and her boyfriend, ASAP Rocky. The couple quarantined together during the pandemic and have said that during that time, they became family.
7 Ashley Iaconetti & Jared Haibon
It’s a boy for these stars of The Bachelor franchise! Ashley, 34, and Jared, 33, welcomed their first child on Jan. 31, 2022. Their baby’s name, Dawson Demitri Haibon, was inspired by the Titanic character played by Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Dawson. The couple has said that Iaconetti mentioned the name idea back when the couple was still friends. “Naming a kid after a Leo character is very natural for us,” Iaconetti added. As for their son’s middle name, the couple said Demitri was simply a name they both liked.
6 Luke Combs
Country crooner Luke Combs had a Father’s Day to remember this year: it was also the day he officially became a dad. Baby boy Tex Lawrence Combs was born on June 19, 2022, which was Father’s Day. The singer, 32, and his wife Nicole were said to be over-the-moon in love with their first child, and that “life is good.”
5 Post Malone
Rapper Post Malone, along with his fiancé, became parents to a baby girl in June of this year. The 28-year-old musician seems to be embracing fatherhood, but has expressed that his new role doesn’t come without challenges:
“It’s really tough not being able to see her, but she’s coming out more often now. She’s huge, she’s super tall, and she’s such a legend and I’m just happy to see her. But it is heartbreaking having to leave and not be able to be with her all the time.”
He also got a tattoo on his face recently that some speculate is in honor of his daughter.

Bleeding Love singer, Leona Lewis, proudly welcomed her first baby this summer with her husband Dennis Jauch. The 37-year-old pop star announced that her daughter’s name is Carmel Allegra, and she was born on July 22. Both parents took to Instagram to share adorable photos of their baby girl, with many famous friends commenting with their support and excitement over the news.
3 Jackie Cruz
Actress Jackie Cruz, 36, became a first-time mom to not one, but two precious babies this year. The Orange Is The New Black star announced the arrival of twins in March, saying that she was “feeling content, exhausted, overwhelmed, grateful, tired, joyful, blessed, and fortunate all at the same time.” She and her husband Fernando Garcia both posted photos and grateful sentiments on Instagram without alluding to the babies’ genders or names.

In August, Sara Quin of the musical duo Tegan and Sara surprised fans with a photo of her newborn baby on Instagram. She hadn’t previously announced that she was expecting, so the news came as a bit of a shock. The 41-year-old musician from Canada revealed that she and her partner welcomed a baby this year but hasn’t shared additional details at this point.

Twilight star Ashley Greene happily shared the news of her first child with her husband Paul Khoury in September. The actress, 35, gave birth to their daughter on Sept. 16, using Instagram to announce her birth shortly after. The post featured a precious photo of their daughter’s hand and her name: Kingsley Rainn Khoury.
